In short. Jaunt finds and books travel for you. When you book, your travel contract is with the airline or the accommodation provider — Jaunt arranges it. Nothing is charged until you confirm a second time, at a price and cancellation policy shown to you first. Flights and hotels are always separate bookings, never one package.
1. Who you are contracting with
“Jaunt”, “we” and “us” mean Elysium Consult Ltd, company number15495904, registered office3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street London EC2A 4NE United Kingdom. “You” means the person using the service.
By using Jaunt — this website, or the Jaunt connector inside an AI assistant — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
2. What Jaunt does
Jaunt searches for flights and accommodation, helps you plan a trip, and makes bookings on your instruction. Jaunt also monitors flights it has booked and can share a status link with people you choose.
Jaunt is not the airline or the hotel. When you book, you enter a contract for the travel itself with the airline or the accommodation provider, on their conditions of carriage or booking terms. Jaunt arranges that booking and is responsible for how it does so — not for the operation of the flight or the condition of the room.
Search results, prices and availability come from third-party suppliers and can change between the moment you see them and the moment you book. Where a price shown is not a live bookable price — for example a fare quoted in an editorial article — it is labelled as indicative, and the only action offered is a live search.
3. Your account
You can search and plan without an account. Booking, saved preferences and trip history require one.
Jaunt signs you in with a magic link sent to your email address, or with Google sign-in. There is no password. Anyone with access to your email inbox can therefore sign in as you — keep it secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
You must be 18 or over to hold an account and to make a booking. You may book on behalf of other travellers, including children, provided you have their authority (or parental responsibility) and the authority to share their details with us.
You can close your account at any time from your settings. What that removes, and what is kept, is set out in theprivacy notice.
4. Using Jaunt through an AI assistant
Jaunt can be connected to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. When you connect one, you authorise it to act on your Jaunt account within the permissions you grant at the point of connection.
Two things follow, and both matter:
- An assistant cannot book in a single step. Any booking still requires the two-step confirmation in clause 5. An assistant cannot commit your money on its own.
- The assistant is not ours. Anthropic, OpenAI and other providers operate their own products under their own terms and privacy policies. What you type into an assistant is governed by that provider's terms as well as these. Jaunt is not responsible for an assistant misunderstanding you — which is precisely why the confirmation step exists.
You are responsible for instructions given to Jaunt through an assistant you have connected, in the same way as instructions you give on this website.
5. Bookings
The two-step rule
Before anything is charged, Jaunt shows you the price, the total amount, the currency and the cancellation policy that applies, and waits for you to confirm. Only that second confirmation creates a booking. This applies on the website and through any connected AI assistant, without exception.
When a booking is made
A booking exists once the supplier has confirmed it and we have sent you a confirmation. Until then — including after payment has been taken but before the supplier confirms — no booking exists. If a supplier declines a booking after payment, the payment is refunded.
Details must be correct
Traveller names must match the passport or ID that will be used to travel. Airlines routinely refuse to carry a passenger whose name does not match, and frequently charge for a correction or refuse one entirely. Jaunt cannot be responsible for a booking made with details you supplied incorrectly.
Passports, visas and entry rules
Checking that you hold the right travel documents, visas and vaccinations for your route is your responsibility. Jaunt does not verify them.
6. Prices and fees
- Flights carry a Jaunt service fee, included in the price displayed at search and unchanged at checkout. The price you are shown is the price you are charged. Plus and Pro members pay no service fee.
- Accommodation carries no Jaunt mark-up. The rate shown is the rate the supplier returns; Jaunt is paid commission by the supplier.
- Supplier charges — checked bags, seat selection, resort fees, local tourist taxes payable on arrival — are set by the airline or the property, not by Jaunt. Where we know about them we show them; where a charge is only collected on arrival, it is not part of what Jaunt charges you.
- Currency. Prices are shown in the currency stated. If your card is in a different currency, your bank's conversion rate and any charge it makes are between you and your bank.
Where Jaunt links you to a third party who pays us a referral fee — for example sending you directly to a low-cost airline's own website — that arrangement does not change the price you pay there, and booking direct with the airline means your contract and your passenger rights sit with that airline.
7. Separate bookings, not a package
Jaunt does not sell packages. If you book a flight and accommodation for the same trip, they are two separate bookings, priced separately, paid for separately, and governed by each supplier's own terms. Jaunt does not combine them into a single product and does not sell them for a single inclusive price.
This means your booking is not a package holiday under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, and the protections that apply to a package do not apply. Flight-only bookings made through Jaunt are not ATOL-protected.
Multi-city and self-connected trips. Where an itinerary is made of more than one ticket, each leg is a separate contract with its own airline. If one leg is delayed and you miss the next, the airlines are under no obligation to re-route or refund you, because they did not sell you a connection. Leave generous time between legs booked this way.
8. Changes, cancellations and refunds
The supplier's rules govern. Whether a booking can be cancelled or changed, and what you get back, is set by the airline or the property, not by Jaunt. The applicable cancellation policy is shown to you before you confirm, and it is the one that applies.
You can cancel eligible bookings yourself from your bookings or through a connected assistant. Where a booking cannot be cancelled automatically, it is routed to our support team rather than silently marked cancelled — a booking is never shown as cancelled unless it actually is.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. The time a refund takes to appear depends on the supplier and your bank, and is outside Jaunt's control.
Cancellation rights
Most travel and accommodation bookings are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel that applies to other online purchases, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This is a feature of travel services generally, not a term Jaunt has chosen. Your statutory rights where they do apply are unaffected by these terms.
If the airline cancels
Where a flight is cancelled or heavily delayed, your rights are against the airline — including, on many routes, compensation under assimilated Regulation (EC) 261/2004. Jaunt will help you pursue them but is not the party that owes them.
9. Membership
Jaunt Plus and Jaunt Pro are paid memberships, billed on a recurring basis through our payment provider until cancelled. Membership waives the flight service fee and may carry other benefits described on the membership pageat the time you join.
You can cancel a membership at any time; it runs to the end of the period already paid for. Cancelling a membership does not cancel any travel you have booked.
10. Your obligations
- Give accurate information, particularly traveller names and contact details.
- Have the authority to book for anyone other than yourself, and to give us their details.
- Use a payment method you are entitled to use.
- Arrive with the documents your route requires.
- Comply with the airline's or the property's own terms.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- make speculative, fraudulent or duplicate bookings;
- scrape, harvest or bulk-extract prices, availability or content from Jaunt;
- attempt to circumvent the confirmation step, rate limits, or any access control;
- use Jaunt to send anyone unsolicited messages, including through the trip-sharing or group-trip features;
- upload or enter content that is unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this clause. Where we do, we will honour travel already booked and paid for unless the booking itself is the breach.
12. Our responsibility to you
Jaunt is responsible for arranging your booking with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do that and you suffer loss as a result, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable consequence of that failure.
We are not responsible for:
- the operation, safety, quality or cancellation of a flight or a stay — those sit with the supplier;
- a supplier's insolvency;
- losses caused by details you gave us incorrectly;
- events outside our reasonable control, including weather, strikes, air-traffic disruption and government action;
- the accuracy of a third-party AI assistant's interpretation of what you asked for, which is why nothing is booked without your explicit confirmation.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Travel insurance. Jaunt does not provide it and does not replace it. Because these are separate bookings rather than a package (clause 7), the gaps insurance normally covers are wider here, not narrower.
13. Complaints
Contact Jaunt support, or write tosupport@usejaunt.com. Tell us the booking reference and what went wrong. If a complaint concerns the flight or the stay itself, the supplier is usually the party who can resolve it, and we will point you to the right route.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms — for example when the service changes or the law does. The version in force for a booking is the one published when you made it. Material changes will be notified to account holders.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
Company details are on the legal page; how we handle your personal data is in the privacy notice.
