What Jaunt is
Jaunt is a travel agent. You describe the trip — the occasion, the deadline, the airport you refuse to fly from — and it searches flights and hotels around that, books what you choose, and keeps watching it until you land.
The unusual part is where you can do it from. Jaunt runs as an ordinary website, and it runs as a connector inside AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Both talk to the same engine, so a trip planned in a chat window and a trip planned on this site are the same booking, in the same account, with the same protections.
You do not need an AI assistant to use Jaunt. The planner and the flight search on this site work without one, and without an account.
What it actually does
- Searches the days around yours. Give it a deadline and it prices the dates either side, rather than only the one you typed.
- Covers airlines a comparison site often misses, including low-cost carriers that sit outside the traditional booking systems.
- Books flights and hotels, with the price and cancellation terms shown and confirmed before anything is charged.
- Tracks your flights and can share a live status link with family or whoever is collecting you.
- Costs the whole door-to-door journey, not just the fare — including getting from the airport to where you are actually staying.
- Remembers what you tell it, so you are not re-explaining your preferences every trip.
- Publishes The Jaunt Collection, an editorial magazine where every page is bookable.
How it is built
These are not aspirations; they are behaviours you can check against the product.
Nothing is booked without a second yes
Before anything is charged, Jaunt shows the price, the total, the currency and the cancellation terms, and waits for you to confirm. That holds on the website and inside an AI assistant — an agent cannot book in a single step, by design.
An indicative price is labelled as one
Fares move. Where a number on this site is not the number you would pay right now — an editorial fare, a cached result — it says so, and the only action offered is a live search rather than a buy button.
Your preferences produce receipts
When Jaunt honours something you told it — an airport you avoid, a cabin you prefer — it says which preference it used. A recommendation you cannot audit is just an advert.
The trip does not end at checkout
Jaunt watches the flights it books, and can share a live tracking link with whoever is meeting you, so the people at the other end are not refreshing a departures board.
How Jaunt makes money
Jaunt earns in two ways, and it is worth being plain about both because they affect what you are shown.
- A service fee on flights, included in the price you see at search and unchanged at checkout — the number quoted is the number charged.Plus and Pro members pay no service fee.
- Commission from hotel suppliers, paid by the supplier rather than added to your bill. Hotel rates are shown as the supplier returns them.
Where a link takes you to a third party who pays Jaunt a referral fee, that is a commercial arrangement and does not change what Jaunt recommends.
Who runs it
Jaunt is a trading name of the company named on the legal page, which is also the data controller for your personal data. What that company does with it is set out in full in the privacy notice.
